The "Edward S. Curtis At Large 1868-1952" Portfolio, is a collection of the twenty-two finest Native American images photographed by Edward S. Curtis.
This collection represents a perfect blend of the various geographic areas which Curtis photographed (E.G. Northwest Coast, Southwest, Plains, etc.), combined with a balance of portraits versus scenics and horizontal versus vertical compositions.
This portfolio is a collection of purely digital images which have been created from Curtis' Japanese tissue photogravures.
The most sophisticated digital imaging technology has been utilized to provide images which surpass the refinements Curtis implemented when he created his photogravures over a century ago.
Each image within this portfolio was scanned in color from a Japanese tissue photogravure, and then archived in digital form. This process created a digital file which has the exact same definition that Curtis achieved in his Japanese tissue photogravures. At no point in this process is there any traditional optics used to create the final digital images.
These digital files have been perfected to compliment the retouching which Curtis had applied by hand. The final images are perfect in quality and comprise the "Edward S. Curtis At Large 1868-1952" Portfolio.

DETAILS
All prints are printed to the exact proportion which Edward S. Curtis printed, and therefore the image size (16 x 20, 20 x 30, 30 x 40, or 40 x 50) will match the dimension listed for any one side on either the length or the width, but not the length and the width.
All Crystal Archive images have a 1/8" black borders for framing purposes.
